As the vaccination against COVID-19 continues around the world, Afrihealth Optonet Association is to organize a symposium on COVID-19 vaccine Hesitancy on the 2nd of April 2021.
The theme of the symposium is VACCINE HESITANCY IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19 AND OTHER VACCINE-PREVENTABLE DISEASES-MYTHS AND REALITIES.
The keynote address is to be delivered by Dr. Fausal Shaibu, Executive Director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Abuja, Nigeria. The moderator is Dr. Uzodinma Adirieje, Project Director/CEO Coalition for Vaccines, Vitamins, and Immunization for All (CoVIA) and United Nations Representative, Afrihealth Optonet Association (CSOs Network)

Afrihealth Optonet Association – an NGO (CSOs Network) with consultative status at the United Nations ECOSOC) in a statement made available to journalists today in Abuja stated that the panelists include: Dr. Dorothy Umoh, COVID-19 front line nurse, Matrix Medical Network, USA; Engr. Wilcox Onyemekeihia, Secretary of Programmers to the SSA on Youth Affairs, Cross River State, Nigeria; Prof. Bernard Seytre, Adviser on COVID-19 communication for the West African Health Organization (WAHO).
He disclosed that the meeting is via Zoom and the time is 1.00 pm West African Time.
Afrihealth Optonet Association is a community-focused civil society organization (CSO) network/think-tank of about 1000 CSOs with interests in the promotion of health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and achievement/realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the global South. The UNESCO laureate, Prof. Bashiru Aremu disclosed this to journalists in Abuja-Nigeria through his Senior Special Assistant on media and publicity, Emmanuel Daudu, during the weekend.
UNESCO Laureate, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu while congratulating Dr. Rajat Sharma on his appointment disclosed that Dr Rajat Sharma has various International & National Awards to himself.
Pointing out spectacular things about him, he said, Dr Rajat Sharma is a highly developed and proven creative, operational and results-driven skills in Public Service, Management, Business Development and Project Management environments as well as in Leadership.
“He has strong eye for identifying problems, resolving crisis situations with viable solutions”, he said.
