The Vice-Chancellor, Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc., H E UNESCO Laureate Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu (World Acclaimed Distinguished Professor Emeritus ratified by UNESCO top up by UNN Nigeria CSER Malaysia MPRH Institute Iran WCU USA ICERE Argentina South America and others worldwide) communicated this electronically to journalists in the early hours of yesterday, 24 April 2021.
According to him, he pointed out that the approval was after a rigorous assessment of his almost immaculate activities within the academic sphere, adding that due diligence was applied which had metamorphosed into merit.
Extending a congratulatory message and a letter of notification of the approval to Dr. Yusuf Olatunde Oladimeji Adepoju, he stated that the results of his activities are undeniably seen, and as such the Board could do nothing but rather approve his Doctorate.
Speaking on his profile, Vice-Chancellor, Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc., H E UNESCO Laureate Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu said, “Dr. Yusuf Olatunde Oladimeji Adepoju’s father, Alhaji Jamiu Adeniyi Isola Adepoju, an Islamic activist and jihadist, is a retired school Principal, a former Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in the old Oyo State and a former Civil Service Commissioner both in Oyo and Osun States of Nigeria. His Mother, Alhaja Amdalat Ibidunni Abike Adepoju, is a retired Secondary School Principal and the former FOMWAN Amirah of Irepodun Local Government, Ilobu. Yusuf is number two of the seven children of his parents comprising of one female and six males. His hobbies include reading, researching into religion, and traveling. He started public preaching in 1995 and founded the Academy of Islamic Propagation, (ACADIP) the same year, and eight years after, he founded ACADIP Security Crew, (ASEC)
“Dr. Yusuf had engaged in series of debates and dialogues with prominent Christian evangelists, pastors, and other notable Christian leaders. Pastor Kunle Salami of Chapel of His Glory, Ado-Ekiti once engaged in dialogue with Yusuf in a program organised by the Muslim Student Society of Nigeria, University of Ado-Ekiti branch. Others are Pastor Ajayi of CAC, Pastor Sola, Pastor Agboola, Pastor Esute, Evangelist Akinwumi of CAC, and Evangelist Folowosele of Ipetumodu.
“In the last Twenty one years, Dr. Yusuf Adepoju has delivered lectures on comparative religion in over one hundred towns and many higher educational institutions in Nigeria. Alhaji Yusuf has written eighteen different Islamic books in English and Yoruba Language, while hundreds of known Converts and Reverts to the Islamic fold had been recorded, while more are still converting.
“Dr. Yusuf performed the Holy pilgrimage in the year 2001 and has subsequently visited Saudi Arabia several times for Umrah. He was once received by Dr. Nasif Abdallah, former Vice-Chancellor, King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, and later the Speaker, Saudi House of Assembly. He has visited fifteen different countries namely Belgium, Egypt, England, France, Ghana, Germany, Morocco, Netherlands, Republic of Benin, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, Togo, and United Arab Emirates.
“Dr. Yusuf is currently the Managing Director of Islamic Cultural and Enlightenment Centre (ICEC), Ilobu, an establishment founded in 1965 by his father, Alhaji Jamiu Isola Adepoju. At his young age, Yusuf has, no doubt, caught a niche for himself in the propagation of Islam along the line of Comparative Religion. Along this line, he has developed strong working relations with other comparative preachers, at home and abroad. Such preachers include Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, Professor Jamal Badawi, Dr. Yusuf Buccus, Dr. Dawood Amoo Alaga, Professor Buniyamin Banire Alalaye, Late Alhaji Yunus Akewugbajesu, Alhaji Abdulahi Kunle Olohunoje, Evangelist Abdul Rahamon Omojo, Ustadh Yusuf Maberra, and others”.
