As Nigeria gears towards 2021 June 12 Democracy Day, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has rolled out an initiative aimed at increasing patriotism amongs Nigerian youths.

According to the Director of Communications and Programs, Barr. Ifenla Oligbinde, the program is targeting young Nigerian population as the next leaders of the country by increasing the level of patriotism on Nigerian youths through a participatory program focused on youths to make two (2) minutes videos of themselves with the caption, “#ADCaNewNigeria Of Your Nigerian Dream”.

Stating further, she said, all videos must be uploaded on IG, @adc_nig and Twitter, @ADCNig. Participants must tag “ADCJune12Contest” and “ADCNewNigeria”.
Speaking on criteria for eligibility, she said, “all participants must follow ADC on IG and Twitter. All participants must be Nigerian youths”, she said.

In the statement, the best twenty (20) videos will be selected for the second stage and each of them will be awarded five thousand (#5000). Four (4) best out of the twenty (20) people that were selected initially will then graduate to the third stage of the contest.

“At this third stage, the winner will be awarded five thousand nairas (#50,000).

The first runner-up will get thirty thousand nairas (#30,000). The second runner up will receive twenty thousand nairas (#20,000) and the third runnerunner-up go home with ten thousand nairas (#10,000).

“The key idea for winning this contest is that videos must be creative, educative, and should be able to inspire hope in a New Nigeria.

“Winners will be announced on or before June 12. All participants should check their Facebook, Twitter and IG accounts for more information”, she added.
