The leadership of Coalition of Nigeria Youths on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA) ably headed by Amb. (Dr) Ade Mario Emmanuel has debunked a purported security report made by Sahara Reporters allegedly involving members of the Nigerian Police Force to have caused the transfer of some citizen’s money at gunpoint. This unwholesome report which includes transferring back the same amount to the right owner after some serious engagements of a lawyer and some highly profiled security officers.

“I want to categorically declare that this story is not honest, is not truthful and it is unrealistic. It is simply a mischievous attempt to blackmail the Nigeria Police of her hard earn reputation.

How can a case which is primarily beyond monetry issue of which I personally intervened be turned sideways simply because one needed to gain cheap recognition of being first in reporting news?

The National Coordinator of CONYSSA who bitterly spoke to newsmen earlier today in Abuja, described the publication by Sahara Reporters as unprofessional conduct.

In his reaction, the Coordinator added that “If Sahara Reporters continue this way, without having to dig to root and fact of cases before reporting, it would affect the credibility of her future stories and the people who depend on their stories would be left with no option but opt for others. We are therefore calling on our esteemed publishers to be weary of this development and also assist in rebroadcasting to avoid misinformation being spread to the people. We also enjoy Sahara Reporters to as a matter of public importance, apologies to Nigeria Police as an institution with immediate alacrity. We would continue to sue for peace and unity in this country. God bless Nigeria.

Earlier, the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security & Safety Affairs, CONYSSA, has applauded the Osun State Police Command over swift action regards the misconduct of six Police personnel in the state on two civilians in the early hours of Wednesday 26th May 2021.

Mr. Toheeb Babalola who narrated his hurdle with the Police officers to the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security & Safety Affairs’ Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, pleaded the National Coordinator, Coalition Nigerian Youth on Security & Safety Affairs, CONYSSA, Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel to set up an investigation team to look into the matter.

The National Coordinator, Nigerian Youth on Security & Safety Affairs, Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel who since then has been at the top of the issue had retired with a favourable result today Saturday 29th May 2021.

The issue has been resolved today between the both parties (Victim and the Police) after he had engaged top Police officers in the state and Community Policing Unit of the Nigerian Police Force.

“The Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security & Safety Affairs appreciates the Commissioner of Police, Osun state who expressed regret over the misconduct of his personnel and zoomed into action alongside the OC PRU as well as the Command PRO”, and that the authority of the Nigeria police has detained the officers in question and will face the consequences of there actions, he said.

After the resolution, Mario speaking with his team applauded the office of the AIG Community Policing at the Force Headquarters for the maximum corporation given him to attain a smooth and stress-free outcome.

Appreciating also, Tolu Babaleye Esq, the victim’s solicitor for his time, resources, and sacrifice in making the issue get a soft landing.

Similarly, the National Coordinator, CONYSSA, Amb. Mario Ade Emmanuel who confirmed the resolution thanked the Osun State NYCN Chairman for being available for the Nigerian youths in his state, pointing out that the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security & Safety Affairs, is there as the youth aim focused in mediating on Security issues between the Nigerian populace and our security architecture.
