A-Pro government organization, The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS) has described the nomination of an Imo State-born, Ajegunle based humanitarian and Social worker, Miss Ogechi Lucy Akaedu, the CEO of Oluceebrands and Face of Ajegunle into the 2021 AJIF Heroes & icons Award as one of the 50 Most Influential Youths in Ajegunle as a transparent and a well deserved one.

The CYMS’s Director-General, Mr. Obinna Nwaka made this known in a statement made available to media in Abuja on Friday 20th August 2021, stating that program is one of his ideologies to encourage youth contributing to Nation building, peaceful coexistence, mentorship and positively adding value in their society. He also emphasized that the gesture is one of the best ways to celebrate and commemorate International Youth Day which is always celebrated yearly in August.

That the recognition of Ogechi Lucy Akaedu the Education Economics graduate from the University of Nigeria (UNN) has proven that the Government of Ajeromi Ifelodun is not blinded at the patriotic, humanitarian, and social activities of its citizens.

He commended Hon Kolawole Taiwo Musibau, the member representing Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal Constituency in the National Assembly for the initiative aiming at supporting, showcasing their potentials, encouraging and appreciating the 50 Most Influential youth from Ajegunle.

Assuring him of reciprocating the kind gesture of supporting, encouraging, and identifying with the youth in his constituency.

Mr. Obinna Nwaka who is among the young living legend identified by Tecno whose name was also written on Tecno’s Nigerian 60th Independence Anniversary logo added that, as a born and raised Lagos boy, he knows the story and image of Ajegunle, that the policy if sustained, encouraged and carried out transparently will further aid the positive transformation of the image of the place through the encouragement of innovations, positive engagement to attract more development and dividends of democracy to the residents.

He urged other youths in Ajegunle and by extension Ajeromi Ifelodun Federal Constituency to be law-abiding, creative, to see the beneficiaries as a motivational tool and not an enviable one, that next edition shall usher in new breeds which they can be recognised as well.

News gathered that CYMS is an evaluation, monitoring, and Mobilization body assisting the Federal government with other focus on promoting good governance, facilitation of empowerment, and drive youth inclusion in policy development.
