… Wishes Christians a merry Christmas celebration

The Nigerian Youth Ambassador to the United States and Secretary-General, Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, Dr. Raymond Edoh has called on all Christians especially the youth to be security conscious and to continuously abide by COVID-19 approved protocols during the celebration.

Dr. Raymond Edoh Made the call in a Christmas message he signed and made available to journalists by his media assistant, Emmanuel Daudu on Tuesday in Abuja-Nigeria.

According to the press release, ” I felicitate with fellow Christians on the occasion of the 2021 Christmas celebrations. Christmas, which marks the commemoration of the birth of our Lord (Jesus Christ) should inspire love, compassion, and kindness and these are virtuous attributes and characters that all believers are enjoined to imbibe.

“In Christendom, Christmas season represents joy, peace, hope, love, goodwill, and imminent salvation. These worthy values which Jesus’ Advent symbolize, are very much needed in the world at this time when we are confronted with diverse challenges like the rising spate of armed banditry, kidnappings, insurgency, economic recession, and upsurge of COVID-19”.

Dr. Edoh urged Christian believers to continue to preach the gospel of unity, understanding, peaceful co-existence and development.

“I, therefore, wish to use this opportunity to urge our Christian compatriots to make the best use of this season to pray fervently for the world especially our dear country, Nigeria that we can continue to live together peacefully so that we prosper as a nation. Merry Christmas”, he said.

Edoh, reacting to the situation in the country, ” we are in a challenging times in the history of the nation, economic challenges, security challenges and several others. We need recovery in this nation and the best we can do right now is to stay put praying”.

Stressing further, Dr. Raymond Edoh charged the youth to believe in Nigeria and love the country stating that criticising leaders will not solve the problems.
“Our leaders are only “Humans”. The safety of every nation lies in the hand of God, lets trust more on God”.

He also charged youth to be conscious security wise stating that the most security personnel of oneself is self.
” I urge the youths to be carefully observant of where they go, the environment around them, and also watch on others. Be the security of yourself. Don’t keep late in an unsecured environment. God will help, but assuredly you have to play you own part”, he said.
