Babs And Friends Care Foundation, a charity organisation in Abuja (which was birthed out of the passion to give succour to the needy in the society thereby reducing poverty level) has fed at least over 1,000 less privileged at Garki Village Central Mosque, Garki, FCT, Abuja; being the inaugural outing of the Foundation.

The CEO and founder of Babs and Friends Care Foundation, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Ogun State, 1999-2003; Hon. Alh. Abdulrasheed Remi Babawale said the Foundation was registered in August 17 2021 and its programmes cut across several humanitarian services in the area of scholarship, provision of food and shelter; skills development training programmes and disbursement of funds to aid Small Scale and Medium Enterprise, (SSME) among the poor masses.

According to the Founder, the charity organisation recognised, among others, that: a child born to poor parent means total exposure to malnutrition, diseases, inferior living conditions, inadequate sanitation and many other hardships. Hence, the Foundation is committed to building a world where all children are given a chance to make the most of their existence.

“We are Babs and Friends Care Foundation, and we are here by the special Grace of God to reduce Poverty. While today’s program is focused on feeding the less privileged, going forward, our efforts will be to identify, train and make funds available for skill acquisition by way of revolving-non-interest loan, and monitor the progress of successful applicants and further encourage them to impact same on others.

“Interestingly, we are mindful of the importance of education, hence scholarships will be giving to the less privileged children who are passionate about Education, in addition to Building of Health Centers in rural areas and other Humanitarian services for sustainable poverty reduction program”. Hon. Babawale said.

The Founder called on Nigerians to cultivate the spirit of giving as he enjoins all and sundry to identify with the Foundation in its humanitarian services.

According to him, all are created for selfless service to God and humanity.

The beneficiaries appreciated Alh. Abdulrasheed Remi Babawale and praid for the Babs and Friends Care Foundation. One of them who identified himself as Sani Ilyas said the Foundation has reached out to them at the right time when many people are jobless and struggling to afford three square meal. “May Almighty God continue to sustain this Foundation and reward Alhaji Abdulrasheed Remi Babawale as he strive to give better life to the poor.
