The Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, has wished all Muslim faithful a wonderful season of Ramadan, saying that it is indeed a holy month that wouldn’t end until Allah answers their sundry prayers of individual interests and the nation, especially as it has to do with the insecurity ravaging the country.
The President of the Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu made this known in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media Relations, Emmanuel Daudu.
Blessing Akinlosotu who stressed further on the importance of the month charged the Muslims to be focused on their supplications to Allah and be hopeful of answers to the prayers rendered for the nation.
Reacting to the Abuja-Kaduna railway attack, he expressed displeasure while sending messages of condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the act.
“We understand that youths are the major victims of this incident, however, we call on the government to do everything necessary to avert such occurrence in the nearest future.
” We also call on the government to put its best in place to ensure that those kidnapped after the attack are recovered in good health as we charge the Nigerian forces to stand to their responsibilities of protecting lives and properties.”
