The Correctional Service Staff College, Kaduna flagged off Operation Wind Shield. This was in a ceremony witnessed by the Commandant of the College, ACG AV Benson which is expected to have Cadets plant trees at the College in order to ensure that the College is fortified against wind in the near future.

According to the DSC AD Wadai College PRO, he said, the Commandant who kicked started the ceremony by planting an avocado tree named; ‘the Commandant tree’ presented to him by the General Course Leader, Course 28 BATCH-D, Cadet Auwal Faskari, enjoins the Cadets to ensure that the trees planted survive.
He further stressed that the trees would go a long way serving as wind breakers and also provide that natural and conducive training environment.

By this exercise, trees comprising, Avocados, Guavas, Cashews, Lemon, Oranges, Mangoes, Umbrellas, Satellites and Masquerades among others have so far been planted as replacement to the already existing ones that a gradually falling.
