The Nigerian Youth Ambassador to the United States and Secretary-General Nigerian Youth Congress, NYC, Dr. Raymond Edoh has wished the Muslim faithful a wonderful Sallah Celebration urging them to see insecurity in the country as a major concern worth praying about and being conscious of during the celebration period.
Edoh made the call today in a statement signed by his media aid, Emmanuel Daudu, and made available to pressmen in Abuja.
According to the Ambassador, insecurity is becoming a major issue of concern and all we need to do is to be vigilant, cautious, and pray even when we all celebrate.
While wishing the Muslims a wonderful Eld-el-Fitr season, he prayed to God to hear and answer their prayers for a rewarding season that just ended.
Edoh who also expressed disappointment at the reaction of youths just after the Nigerian Super Eagles’ loss to the Black Stars of Ghana at the MKO Abiola national stadium, said, “vandalizing our hard structured facilities is simply not the best. That is foolishness for God’s sake. It is never done anywhere! Sincerely speaking, I am disappointed and I pray it doesn’t happen again.
“Those vandalized public properties would still be fixed with our money. Money that should have been channeled either on security or other profitable ventures would now be used on assets destroyed.”
