Following the just concluded episcopal visit and service held at the Christ Church, Nyanya Abuja between 30th April and 1st May 2022 where the Lord Bishop of Anglican Communion, Diocese of Kubwa, Rt Revd Dr Duke Timothy Akamisoko inspected churches under his watch in FCT Abuja which is an annual visit and event according to the Anglican calendar.

Mr Obinna Nwaka, the Head Media & Publicity of the Anglican church who doubles as a member of Parish Church Council (PCC) as an Archideconry delegate has commended Bishop Akamisoko for his encouragement and supportive role displayed during his visit 30th April 2022 and service conducted on sunday 1st May 2022.

Nwaka, the church board member who witnessed both the Bishop visit and service where the Archideconry had confirmation & enrollment of women into Mother’s union, women guild, girls guild and induction of men into the christian men’s fellowship expresses optimism of the growth of Anglican Communion under his watch especially his understanding and physical presence during the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Elder Isaac Okoro amidst the Bishop’s inspection.

Although, protocol was duly observed immediately Ven Ogonna Obiefuna the officiating priest of the wedding observed the arrival of the Bishop, interestingly, in the Lord Bishop’s usual fatherly and magnanimous way instructed that the wedding ceremony should not be interrupted irrespective of his arrival or inspection of the church building and premises.

Meanwhile, while excorting the Bishop after the inspection, Ven Bitrus Habila the Archideconry Supervisory priest also instructed all the priests who accompanied the Lord Bishop on episcopal visit to join the wedding ceremony in a view to make it colourful and have the attendance of more priests.

Nwaka, the Church Media Head, made the statement known through his social media handles that the 2022 episcopal service becomes the 2nd service consecutively held at Christ Anglican Church Nyanya from 2021 and 2022 due to the ongoing church building of St Paul’s Anglican Church and approval of the Bishop.

According to him, the encouragement of the Lord Bishop over the church project was quite commendable, motivational and spirit lifting.

The Lord Bishop while assuring Christ church of hosting the service, he also commended the church Vicar, Rev Canon Christopher Ajayi, Evangelist Dr Festus Odia and all members for their sacrifice and commitment to the church project.

It is also noticed that Mr Obinna Nwaka a technocrats who hails from Isiala Mbano LGA Imo State currently work with the Presidency, office of the Senior Special Assistant to Mr President on Policy development and Analysis) and also serves as the Director General, Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitisation (CYMS).

News also gathered that Christ Church Nyanya Abuja is the fastest rising and biggest Anglican church with befitting structure after St Paul’s Anglican church in the Nyanya Archedicory.
